Bayern Munich won’t give up on selling De Ligt and Mazrawi to Manchester United

According to Sky Sports reporter Florian Plettenberg, Bayern Munich still intends to sell defenders Matthijs de Ligt and Nussel Mazrawi to Manchester United this month:
The clear trend at this stage is that Nussel Mazraoui and Matthijs de Ligt will join Manchester United this month. If everything goes according to plan, the dual transfer will be completed. There are active and ongoing negotiations between the clubs. The deal is not yet complete, but progress is being made.
Bayern Munich will focus on acquiring Bayer Leverkusen centre-back Jonathan Tah and Rennes winger Desire Douai-Plettenberg once the funds flow in. However, if Bayern Munich can only acquire one player, it will look to acquire Douai – which would add another winger to an already overcrowded squad:
After selling De Ligt and Mazraoui, Bayern’s plan is to invest in Jonathan Tah and/or Desire Douai. If only one of Tah and Douai is signed, the first priority will be the Frenchman.
Plettenberg also broke down the Tah situation and explained why things have been a bit chaotic over the past week:
Bayern abandon deadline day and tell Leverkusen they have no intention of paying asking price at this time
• Leverkusen hopes to keep Tach entering the final year of his contract
• Tower only wants Bayern and does not want to renew or stay at Leverkusen for this season
• Tah’s agent Pini Zahavi is considering a move to Bayern this month after De Ligt was sold to Manchester United
• Poker continues. The door is not closed yet, it is moving
At the moment, everyone is waiting and thinks it won’t be a shock if Bayern Munich’s top brass talks to Manchester United’s top brass in England this weekend.
