Everton Reaches Agreement with Manchester City Player Jack Grealish

Following the departures of Jack Harrison and Jesper Lindstrom, the Toffees’ wing options are now limited to Eliaman N’Diaye and Dwight McNeill.

As a result, David Moyes’ side prioritized strengthening their flanks during this transfer window. Initially, they attempted to bring in Malik Fofana from Lyon, but Fofana rejected the offer from Hill Dickinson Stadium due to Champions League football.

They then turned their attention to Tyler Diblin and submitted several bids of up to £40 million, but Southampton wanted to release their star player for a higher fee. Consequently, an agreement was not reached.

Everton even enquired about transfers for Como star Assane Diao and Real Sociedad ace Takefusa Kubo, but ultimately failed to sign either.

According to The Athletic, Ornstein stated that Everton has reached an agreement with Manchester City to sign Grealish on a season-long loan, and the player is ready to join the Toffees. The loan agreement includes a £50 million buy option, which Moyes’ team can activate next summer. A medical examination has been scheduled for today.

Grealish Transfers to Everton

Fabrizio Romano initially broke the news with his iconic post, “It’s Started.” Grealish joined Manchester City from Aston Villa in 2021 for a substantial transfer fee and helped the team win the Treble in the 2022/23 season.

However, his signing has generally been unsuccessful, and he has struggled to get consistent playing time under Guardiola over the past two seasons.

Grealish is a versatile striker who can play on the left wing and in the No. 10 position. Given that N’Diaye has been a consistent starter on Everton’s left wing, the 29-year-old is likely to be deployed in the central midfield (CAM) position. With the departure of Abdoulaye Doucoure, the Merseyside club is in need of a new creative midfielder.

Grealish is a technically gifted player who excels at dribbling past defenders in tight spaces and is difficult to intercept. Therefore, he would be an excellent addition to Everton.
