Liverpool competes with Everton and West Ham United for Luiz

Last summer, the Reds prioritized strengthening their midfield, with Martin Zubizumi being their primary target. However, the player rejected a move to Anfield, and they didn’t pursue other options.
Now, the Spaniard has decided to join Arsenal this summer, and Liverpool appears to have no plans to bring in a new midfielder in this transfer window, having already spent approximately £270 million without adding any players in that position.
In addition, they are willing to break the British transfer record to sign Alexander Isak, who is ready to take the next step in his career, despite Newcastle United’s desire to keep him.
However, Gazzetta dello Sport reports that Liverpool may also bring in a new midfielder this summer, with Luiz among their targets. The player is eager to leave Juventus after struggling to get consistent playing time last season and failing to participate in preseason, forcing a move.
Juventus is unhappy with him and is preparing to take disciplinary action against him. They are willing to accept a transfer fee of approximately £35 million for his departure.

However, Everton on Merseyside aren’t the only club eyeing him; Everton and West Ham United are also considering a move. Therefore, despite his recent struggles, he has no shortage of potential suitors.
West Ham United decided to sign Guido Rodriguez and Carlos Soler last summer to strengthen their midfield. However, the former Real Betis player underperformed last season, and the Spaniard joined Paris Saint-Germain on loan and has since returned.
Everton, on the other hand, is short on midfield players; therefore, David Moyes is looking to strengthen this area of the squad. Luiz, who previously played for Aston Villa and has proven his worth in the Premier League, is only 27 years old. He is a natural deep-lying midfielder who can also provide cover in the box-to-box and corner-back positions.
Therefore, if Liverpool, Everton, or West Ham United ultimately choose to sign him before the start of next season, it might be a shrewd move for him.
