Manchester United ‘exploring’ to sign Burnley star Sandberg

The Red Devils started their business early in this transfer window and quickly signed Joshua Zirkzee and Lenny Yoro. However, it was subsequently reported that Manchester United needed to raise funds by selling some of its stars to replenish new reinforcements. Noussair Mazraoui, Matthijs de Ligt and Manuel Ugarte have all been suggested as key targets.
However, Erik ten Hag’s side are finding it difficult to offload their existing players, which has reportedly slowed them down this transfer window.
As a result, United appear to have begun looking for cheaper alternatives to strengthen their squad, and writing in The Lower Berg conditions.
Berg moves to Manchester United
However, the journalist claims that the Norwegian is not the only option on United’s shortlist as they are also interested in signing Monaco’s Youssef Fofana and have already started talks with the Ligue 1 club over the deal.
Xie Si said:
“Manchester United have held preliminary talks with Burnley for midfielder Sandberg. Manchester United are exploring the terms of the deal. There are three years left on the contract. Following initial contact, dialogue has begun with Monaco regarding Youssef Fofana. The final year of the contract.
Burnley are said to be willing to let their star player leave for around £30m, so the Premier League champions will have to spend big to lure the Scandinavian to Old Trafford before the end of this window .
Berg is a technically gifted player who is comfortable with the ball at his feet under pressure. He performed well in the Premier League last season, although the Clarets eventually had to be relegated.
Therefore, the 26-year-old could prove to be a good acquisition if the Premier League champions end up signing him this transfer window.
United, meanwhile, begin their Premier League campaign against Fulham next week, but before that they face Manchester City in the Community Shield this weekend.
