Manchester United ‘in talks’ to hijack Newcastle deal to sign Cesco

The 22-year-old has attracted a lot of attention and performed well last season, scoring 21 goals and providing 6 assists in all competitions.

Arsenal initially expressed interest in the Slovenian player, but ultimately chose to buy Victor Giocheres from Sporting Lisbon to strengthen their front line.

Newcastle United have seen Cesco as a key candidate to replace Alexander Isak, who has made it clear to the Magpies’ top management that he wants to leave Newcastle United and start the next stage of his career. Liverpool are also said to be eager to sign him, and his top destination is Anfield.

The Tyneside club was initially eager to keep the Swedish international, but may now have to change their stance.

In the X column, Plettenberg said that Newcastle United has opened negotiations with Cesco’s representatives to finalize personal terms and has offered him their project.

Cesco joins Manchester United

However, Manchester United is also enthusiastic about Cesco and is “negotiating” with the player’s agent. They have already briefed the striker on their plans and proposed a contract package to him.

Whichever team finally agrees with the player on personal terms, they will formally propose a transfer package to RB Leipzig to complete the deal. However, the Magpies are working hard to complete the deal before the Old Trafford club.

Manchester United already has Rasmus Hoylund and Joshua Zirkzee as candidates for the center position, but both players have failed to show their goal-scoring strength.

Therefore, Amorim is eager to introduce a new striker. Although he said that signing experienced Premier League players is important for the team to adapt quickly, Cesco is a very talented player and it would be a smart addition in the long run if United signed him.

According to reports, Cesco has reached a gentleman’s agreement with RB Leipzig and he will leave for a fixed transfer fee of at least £61 million plus bonuses of £4 million to £9 million. This agreement is for clubs that the player considers special.
