Nottingham Forest still trying to secure a deal for James McCarty

The 22-year-old Manchester City academy product is the focus of many Premier League clubs this summer.
However, they recently succeeded in renewing the contract with Morgan Gibbs-White, which may reduce the need for McCarty.
McCarty only played 15 games for Manchester City in the Premier League last season, starting 3 games.
He is entering the final year of his contract with the Blues and getting regular playing time could prompt him to move this summer.
Nottingham Forest, on the other hand, are closing in on signing another of their striker targets, Dan N’Doye, with Bologna reportedly telling them they will “wait a few days” before receiving a new offer.
N’Doye has also attracted interest from Napoli, who have already made an offer for him but failed.
Newly promoted Leeds United are also one of McCarty’s suitors, with Daniel Farke’s side seeking to sign an attacking midfielder who can inject creativity into the game.
The Yorkshire giants are working on many fronts to bring in new players before the start of the season, but they face stiff competition from Nottingham Forest.
Forest manager Nuno is a big fan of McCarty’s talent and believes he fits the bill for the club to strengthen its attacking lineup.
Despite the high price tag, Forest has not given up, and it is said that the “cunning Forest” is continuing to work hard to sign McCarty in the current transfer window.
