Nottingham Forest targets ‘rebellious’ club for £16m, prepares to force transfer

Nuno Espirito Santo is preparing for his first full season at Nottingham Forest after taking over from Steve Cooper during the first half of last season. The former Wolves boss is preparing for his second season at the City Ground.
The East Midlands have had a relatively busy summer transfer window, with Forest signing Elliot Anderson from Newcastle United and they also signed Nikola Milenkovic.
Forest have also signed Jota Silva from Vitoria Guimarães, but the Portuguese winger does not appear to be the only signing.
Nottingham Forest transfer stalled, Ramon Souza ready to ‘defy’
Talleres winger Ramon Sosa is reportedly training on his own pending approval for a move to Forest, but a move for the Paraguayan to the City Stadium has yet to be agreed.
His current club Talleres released a statement on their website on Wednesday regarding his future at the club, saying: “Conversations with the club are progressing well and the player has indicated that he would prefer, even Some initial conditions were abandoned and no agreement was reached.
“As negotiations progress, maximum deadlines are set to complete them rather than continue to drag out a situation that, if unresolved, would seriously harm us all.”
This meant the end of the saga, however, Argentinian outlet Ole took the story one step further, claiming that Sosa “defied” Talleres.
Sosa unhappy with Talleres over failed move
Sosa is reportedly unhappy with Talleres president Andres Fassi, who publicly stated that the Reds changed everything after verbally agreeing to the deal.
The South American club put the blame on Forest boss Evangelos Marinakis, so despite the winger’s anger, it now appears the deal is far from done.
HITC reported last month that the Timbers were close to a deal for Sosa, but that now seems remote.
Sosa refused to take part in the game against River Plate and has informed the club’s sporting director Cholo Guiñazú of the situation.
The report adds that the Paraguayan is more than willing to wait until the end of the transfer window before forcing a transfer. This might not be the last we hear about Sosa in the current transfer window.
