QPR set to land Birmingham and Derby target Karamoko Dembele

Dembele impressed during a loan spell at Blackpool in League One last season and his performances ensured he became a wanted player this summer.

Birmingham have been keen to bring Dembélé to St Andrews to help them gain promotion from League One, while Derby County are keen to bring the winger to Pride Park; other parties are also keen.

However, QPR have acted decisively and agreed with Brest to pay a fee of around €3m plus add-ons.

Dembélé will travel to England this weekend and QPR will conduct a medical on him.

If he can successfully pass the test, he will sign a contract at Loftus Road.

The former Celtic winger will be looking to make a quick impact for QPR in the new season.

After impressing in the First Division with Blackpool, Dembélé has been hungry for a chance at promotion to the Championship and now QPR will offer that opportunity.
