Serge Gnabry expected to stay at Bayern Munich

If there’s one player who’s benefited more from working under new coach Vincent Kompany than others, it’s probably Serge Gnabry.

Gnabry was impressive against Tottenham Hotspur last weekend and his performances so far appear to have won him the support of the coaching staff and perhaps the club’s hierarchy.

Sky Sports reporter Florian Plettenberg wrote that Gnabry has made great progress under the leadership of Kompany:

Despite this, Gnabry’s place in the team remains in question. With Leroy Sane, Kingsley Coman (as of now), Michael Aulis, Matthijs Tell and Aryjon Ibrahimovic vying for a starting spot, Gnabry Whether he will play a key role under Kompany is uncertain.

This position group is very crowded considering Jamal Musiala, Alphonso Davies, Thomas Muller and Rafael Guerrero also feature on the wings at times.

None of this affects what happens if Bayern Munich succeeds in their pursuit of Desire Douai.
