The best transfers of summer 2024 made by every Serie A club

The 2024/25 Serie A season will kick off on August 17. Teams such as Inter Milan and AC Milan will gather together. After winning the league championship with an advantage of nearly 20 points, the Nerazzurri will strive for an even greater victory. Achievements, maybe hoping for more championships.
Serie A went through a lot of personnel changes last summer, mainly due to the long-term disappointment of Juventus, who ended up sacking Max Allegri and replacing him with Thiago Motta – the likeable manager who almost led Fairy tale team Bologna enters the Champions League.
While the 2024 summer Serie A transfer window is far from certain, with the likes of Federico Chiesa and Tammy Abraham mired in transfer rumors around the league, enough deals have been struck that we can fairly assess transfer window so far.
Here are each team’s best transfer moves of the 2024 summer so far. Note that not every team is on this list, and that’s because they haven’t done anything worthy of praise so far.
Inter Milan
Piotr Zelenskiy is a veteran player in Serie A and a solid free transfer to complement an already overloaded Inter Milan midfield, but I have to say that Mahdi, who was acquired on a free from FC Porto ·Taremi is even more so.
If you’ve heard of Taremi, you probably recognize him for one of three things. Maybe it’s because he’s the best Iranian player since Ali Daei, maybe it’s because of Inter’s transfer saga, maybe it’s because of the bicycle goal he scored against Chelsea in the Champions League.
Taremi is an excellent signing for Inter Milan as he is truly one of the best all-round forwards and fits the profile of Inter’s number nine under Simone Inzaghi, although he Playing outside Europe’s top five leagues without getting much publicity.
With two seasons of at least 20 goals and two seasons of double-digit assists, Taremi has been outstanding. There are few forwards as good at creating chances for himself or others as Taremi, and he is an excellent finisher.
AC Milan
Well, AC Milan got a better striker, and he was cheap too, as the Rossoneri only had to spend €13 million to sign Alvaro Morata from Atletico Madrid with a release clause.
Morata is a proven talent, including in Serie A, where he once guided Juventus to the Champions League final before returning for a second time as Cristiano Ronaldo’s main provider of chances.
Honestly, it would be hard to find a more complete forward than Morata, who could provide the same level of goals that Olivier Giroud brought to the table in his final season at Milan before moving to MLS. Ball and assist ability.
juventus
There are several legitimate candidates to be called Juventus’ top signing of the 2024 summer transfer window, but if you’ve been following Serie A closely over the past two seasons, you really have to go with Monza goalkeeper Michel El DiGregorio.
For €20 million, Juventus signed the second-best goalkeeper in Serie A behind Inter Milan’s Jan Sommer, who has been a world-class goalkeeper for years.
Di Gregorio became a breakout star when Monza gained promotion to the top flight in the 2022/23 season, with a save rate of 72.5% of the shots he faced. Last season, his rescue rate even reached 79.9%, ranking third in Serie A.
Even better, Di Gregorio ranks first among players in Europe’s top five leagues with expected goals prevented after taking a shot. So while Wojciech Szczesny remains strong, the numbers suggest Di Gregorio offers Juventus the best chance of winning in 2024/25.
Atlanta
Last season, Atalanta won the Champions League thanks to the outstanding performances of their attacking trio of Charles de Cotrare, Ademola Lookman and Gianluca Scamacca.
CDK’s signing was largely confirmed before the transfer window even started, so this big new acquisition is another recycling project in an attack similar to that trio – and the most ambitious one yet.
Aston Villa have once again signed Nicolo Zaniolo on loan after a spell at Galatasaray, with the former Roma top prospect joining the fantastic Gian Piero Gasperini , as part of Bergamo’s exciting attack.
Atalanta had beaten Liverpool in the semi-finals of the Europa League final and previously undefeated Bayer Leverkusen in the Europa League final. If Zaniolo can focus and show his mental improvement under Gasperini, his physical and technical attributes could make Atalanta the biggest signing of the 2024 summer transfer window. one.
